4b. How to scan color with N+Chroma apps for iOS

N+chroma App

Turn on your NODE+chroma™

  • Push hardware button to turn NODE+chroma system on

Launch the N+chroma App

Download for iOS

  • Launch N+Chroma app on your smart device. N+chroma will alert you to go to settings to pair your NODE+chroma device.

Connect your NODE

  • Pair if necessary, or go to Settings and connect with already-paired NODE+chroma system of your choice

Remove the Calibration Cap

  • Gently remove N+Chroma calibration cap

Start scanning color

  • You can scan a single color from this screen, or select Color Compare View from the menu to compare two colors.

  • To access the menu, tap the three bars icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

  • From the Color Compare screen, you can scan to compare two colors. Tap the left rainbow button to scan your first color. Tap the right rainbow button to scan your second color. NODE+chroma will return your Lab values and percentage match.
  • Tap Scan history on either color to view your saved scans.

Calibrate Chroma

  • After every 6-10 scans, re-calibrate your NODE+chroma system
  • Go to menu in top left hand corner, tap Calibration button to calibrate, wait for completion alert to pop-up.

Turn on your NODE+chroma™

  • Push hardware button to turn NODE+chroma system on

Launch the N+chroma Match App

Download for iOS

  • Launch N+Chroma Match App on your smart device. N+chroma will alert you to go to settings to pair your NODE+chroma device.

Connect your NODE

  • Tap the Unpaired button to connect to your NODE+chroma device.

  • Choose your NODE+chroma device from the device list. 

Calibrate Chroma

  • After every 6-10 scans, re-calibrate your NODE+chroma system.
  • Place Calibration Cap on your NODE+chroma device before beginning calibration. NODE+chroma will alert you when calibration is successful.

Start scanning color

  • Select Sample Set 1 from the Select a Colorset menu to test NODE+chroma's color scanning abilities.

  • Scan your inspiration, and NODE+chroma will match to NODE+chroma's internal sample color set.

Corporate Colorsets

  • For corporate Colorsets, tap in the Enter Code field on the bottom of the screen and enter your NODE+chroma approved (provided by Variable) password to access your Company Colorset.
